Deanne's Family

Wednesday was Deanne's parents' 30th wedding anniversary, so the family got together for some family portraits.  We met up in the evening down at Garry Point Park where we had some nice soft light.

Casual family portraits are great when extended families get together.  An awesome way to remember a special time or just celebrate being together.

Linh & Nate - July 12, 08

I started the day with Linh at her hotel room as she finished up with hair and make up.  She stayed at the Hilton which was just around the corner from Minoru Chapel - no traffic worries getting to the ceremony!

Susannah was with the guys at the River Rock as they battled with suits and ties.....

But they managed and looked pretty cool!

Next we went down to the beach at Spanish Banks.....

Where it was HOT and so were they!

Then it was off to Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club where we did another round of family photos before heading inside for some fantastic seafood!  

Lots of fun and games at the reception, some very touching speeches and of course the first dance. This one's my favourite...

Linh and Nate - you guys were great and it was my pleasure to spend the day with you.

Leslie & Gabe - July 5, 08

Saturday's weather was a bit dicey, and we weren't sure what was going to happen, but by the time I got to Leslie's house in the morning, things looked promising.

Leslie and Gabe had a lot of relatives and friends from overseas so we got a group photo before we left the church....

We went to a few different locations around the area.  This one's just outside of the London Heritage Farm.......cool clouds....very dramatic.

Next was Garry Point Park......

At their reception at Quilchena Golf and Country Club Leslie & Gabe, together with their parents, did the rounds of the tables, toasting with all their guests...

There were many emotional moments, some crazy kissing games (so funny!), speeches, cake and some dancing, but one of the evening's highlights had to be Gabe serenading Leslie....

So Family Portraits

On Sunday I got to hang out with the So family and do some family portraits. I shot Leslie and Gabe's engagement pictures back in October and will be shooting their wedding in a few weeks, so it was nice to meet Leslie's family.

We went down to McDonald Beach in Richmond and took some shots in the area. It was a hot, hot, hot sunny day and I think summer might have finally arrived - yay!
