Jaspreet, René & Noémie

Jaspreet had booked her maternity shoot awhile back, but on Friday I was still feeling bad (I have had a cold all week) so I called her to give her the option of postponing.  Jaspreet said she didn't think she could wait, so we went ahead with the shoot.  

Jaspreet, René, and Noémie were a great family to work with.

  

René is totally into photography and had photographed Jaspreet during her first pregnancy, but it was great to get some shots with him as well.

Marjorie & Andrew - October 18, 08

Marjorie & Andrew had a vintage themed wedding at the Heritage Hall on Main - a beautiful old building requiring very little decorating.

They also hired a classic car - a 1930's Chevrolet, to ride around in - styling!

Marjorie looked fab in her birdcage veil and dress and the guys were dashing in their tuxes (even with the sneakers that appeared at their reception!).

We did some evening shooting down in an alleyway in Yaletown before it got too dark and then we headed back to the warmth of the reception.  Here are a few of my favs from Yaletown....

Lauryn, Michael & Makenna

Lauryn, Michael and Makenna came in for some last minute maternity shots. They came over from the Sunshine Coast in the pouring rain on Friday so a great effort to get here!  We got some great shots of the family together as well as some individuals.

Tasha & Marvin's epix

Tasha & Marvin wanted to get some Fall colours in their engagement photos so we headed to Jericho Park.  Some areas of the park were still very green but there were some beautiful spots to the West with rich reds and oranges.

These two are so lovely and I am looking forward to working with them next year.

Leanne & Mark's epix

For Leanne (yay same spelling as me!) and Mark's e-shoot we went to Vanier Park to try to get some Fall leaves.  The leaves were mostly at an in-between stage colour-wise, but their was still a very Fall-like feel to the air and the light.

And just enjoy being together.  I loved how they were together - in love, full of laughter, very natural....great couple!

Karen & Don - October 11, 2008

So I finally got to meet Karen and Don on Saturday at their wedding - all planning and co-ordinating up till then had been by email.

We met Karen first at her Squamish hotel getting finishing touches of make up done, then Susannah went to hang out with the Croft men as they were getting ready.

Karen had wickedly cool shoes!

The guys went to Nexen Beach and the girls went to Shannon Falls for a few pre-ceremony shots before heading off to Furry Creek for the ceremony.

We were lucky with the weather and although it was cold, we were able to get out on the golf course and stop at a few spots.  Karen and Don were great sports!

After 14 years together these two were finally hitched - here are the rings and M&Ms to prove it!
