Seva - 2 weeks old

Some of Bindu and Mundeep's friend's bought them a photography gift certificate for when their little one, Seva was born.  What a great way to create some lifelong memories!

Seva is just two weeks old in these shots........

Some family shots.....

Here's a few shots with Bindu.....

And with Mundeep......

Little Seva crosses his legs a lot - it's very cute!

It was lovely to meet you Bindu and Mundeep and welcome to the world, Seva!

Deanne's Family

Wednesday was Deanne's parents' 30th wedding anniversary, so the family got together for some family portraits.  We met up in the evening down at Garry Point Park where we had some nice soft light.

Happy Anniversary!!!!!

Here's the happy couple.....

The whole family.....

And some smaller groups.....

Casual family portraits are great when extended families get together.  An awesome way to remember a special time or just celebrate being together.

Susan & Wayne - July 26, 08

The games all started at Susan's parents' house, and I mean that literally. Wayne arrived with the guys and had his entrance blocked by the women inside.  The guys had to perform tasks to prove their dedication and also offer money to the girls to gain entrance to the house.

One game was to find letters encased in ice-cubes, melt the ice and arrange the letters to spell out "I love Susan".

Here's the result.....

Worse was to come - best man Steve had to step up and take one for the team by having an "S" for Susan waxed on his leg.

OUCH!

Finally Wayne was allowed in to see gorgeous Susan....

Tea ceremonies were held with relatives at both Susan's family house and Wayne's family house, and the happy couple were led under a red umbrella door to door....

Too many tea ceremony shots to choose from so I'll focus on the beautiful details......

Envelopes and jewellery were given by relatives wishing Susan and Wayne well.....

Here's a great candid Susannah shot of Susan......

Now that's a lot of gold!

Here's Susan's wedding dress.....

A shot of Susan getting ready.....

Next stop, the Rose Garden at SFU.  It rained briefly when we arrived, but soon cleared up.....

Showing off their rings during the ceremony.....

After about a thousand family photos we headed off down the mountain to take some Susan, Wayne and bridal party shots.....Susan was so awesome - she climbed over the fence.....

To get this shot.....

Next we went to Barnet Marine Park where there is an old stone structure I like.  I don't know what it once was, but I really like shooting there....

Next location was the Port Moody Station Museum......

And lastly a walk through the trees.....

We left Susan and Wayne at this point to take a short break before they headed off to their Chinese banquet reception which sounded like it was going to be as action packed and busy as our part of the day had been.

Thanks Susan and Wayne for being so fun and easy going on such a hectic day. All the best!

Carmelita

So on Sunday I got to hang out with Carmelita, Jenn and Al at Trout Lake.  This was the third time for me to photograph Carmelita and boy has she grown!

Here are a few shots from our session at the playground and on the beach.....

Al's tattoo is his daughter's name....

Thanks guys - it was great to see you all again.

Diana & George - July 19, 08

Diana and George travelled from the UK to Vancouver for their wedding.  It was great to see different families and cultures from different parts of the world get together on such a happy occasion.  That it one aspect of Vancouver that I really like - the multiculturalism.

Kerry Reid from Fairy Godmother Weddings had helped Diana with planning a wedding from afar and was there to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day.

I started the day at Diana's parents house.....here's a few shots of Diana's dress...

Here's our beautiful bride.....

The ceremony was at Cecil Green out on the lawn.  I love the way George is looking at Diana......

The Tea Ceremony was held inside in the Conservatory.....

And then we did a few shots on the grounds and with the beautiful house......

....before heading off around UBC.  First stop, the totem poles at the Museum of Anthropology....

After UBC we went down to the beach.  All the beaches were packed due to the stunning weather, but we found a nice log in between BBQs.  I thought I'd show you what the area looked like.....

......and one of the resulting shots.....

Here's another......

Diana and George stopped for a quick refreshment before the reception.....

And then there were table visits, lots of cheering ......

...fun and laughter,  and lots and lots of food!

Congratulations Diana and George!  It was great to meet you both and to be a part of your day. All the best!
