Nicole & Garth's Maternity Shoot

Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting for good friends Nicole and Garth in the last stages of pregnancy. Baby Alley is one of life's little miracles and will be a very special arrival into this world. It's not difficult to see how in love Garth and Nicole are and how much this little one means to them.

Kelley & David - November 24, 2007

Kelley and David were married at the Canadian Memorial United Church and had their reception at the Shaughnessy Golf Course.

Because November always has tricky timing with the sun setting so early (4:22pm on this day!), and as their ceremony wasn't until after Sunset, Kelley and David decided to do their main photo session before their ceremony.

We started our coverage by meeting the girl's at Kelley and David's apartment before heading to the beach.

As they were seeing each other for the first time at the beach before the ceremony, Kelley and David used a blindfold to keep that first moment special...

We did a few shots down at English Bay to catch the tail end of light...

...before heading to the Copper Chimney restaurant Downtown to stay warm and do some more photos before going to the church.

The Church was quite beautiful.


In between the ceremony and reception we stopped at outside St Paul's hospital for a few shots of the newlyweds. The lights were amazing! It was pretty cold but these guys were up for the challenge!

"Bean"

Last month I did a maternity session with Christine and Alex - some of those images can be seen here. Last week I got to meet their new little man - dubbed "Bean" while they search for the perfect name.

Prya

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Sarah, Rishi, and little Prya. Prya was the sweetest little dot at just under 2 weeks old.

Angela & David - October 27, 2007

Angela and David were married at the Unitarian Church of Vancouver with their reception following at the Sylvia Hotel on English Bay. During cocktail hour we went to the Orpheum Theatre for some shots. The architecture and ambiance are amazing! I LOVED it!

I loved the colours of the Theatre with it's rich reds and golds. Angela added her own touch of red to the day...

This last shot is Angela, David and Lucas and is one of my favourites. What a great family!

Leslie & Gabe

Leslie, Gabe and I went to Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver for their engagement shoot. It was late in the afternoon, and we got some nice skies. We wandered about, getting to some nice high places.

Then it was time to have some fun in the leaves.

Congratulations Leslie and Gabe - I'm really looking forward to your wedding next year!

Jeani's family

Jeani's extended family had gathered together from various BC locations and I was called on to do some family portraits both indoors at Jeani's house and outdoors at the nearby school. I think we did all possible combinations of people!
