Linh & Matt

Linh & Matt came in on Sunday for a maternity shoot.  By chance we discovered we are located in the same neighbourhood - they live quite near the studio.

Linh had had her make up done at Mac Downtown before the shoot - she looked great!

Spring in Whistler

We just got back from 3 days R&R up at Whistler Blackcomb. With the late season snowfall in the last couple of weeks we thought we'd seize the opportunity to get in some late season boarding.  The weather forecast did not look great, but the sun god smiled down on us and we were treated to some awesome views.

Here's me taking a break up on Whistler's Harmony Ridge run where I could just hang out all day if it weren't so chilly.

The weirdest thing was there was NOBODY there!  Not only did we have stunning weather and good snow, but wide open runs with hardly any traffic.  Absolute bliss.

The Whiskey Jack's (Grey Jay's) were quite cheeky and took food right out of my hand.  So cute.

Although it was a really short break, once more we had a fabulous time on the mountain.  It really is one of my favourite places to go.  See you next year Whistler!

Jessica

Leanne & Marcus came in for maternity shots in January.  Little Jessica arrived a bit later than expected so we had to juggle schedules a bit, but we managed to do her newborn shoot at just 4 days old.

The Aquarium

I've been pretty busy so am very slow in posting this blog.  Last month I met up with really good friends Tiri and Brian who I met when I lived in Queenstown, NZ, too long ago to mention the year ;)

I have since lived in Kyoto, Japan and here in Vancouver, and done a bunch of traveling in between.  Tiri and Brian have based themselves in both Auckland, NZ and Wellington, NZ and done a whole heap of traveling in Europe and the States. Although we try to catch up when we are both in NZ, we figured out that hadn't seen each other for about 6 or so years!  Unbelievable!

Tiri, Brian and their kids were passing through Vancouver to Vernon where they were basing themselves for a month of skiing.

We met up at one of my favourite places - the Vancouver Aquarium.  I took a ton of photos, and here are a few of my favs....

Sea Lion - I'm not sure if we were watching them or they were watching us.....

The folk at the Aquarium have some great shows - they are both educational and fun...

Turtle - he was fabulous - such a big, old beauty....

Maz was just mesmorised.....

These little guys were the freakiest things there - they hover in the water and catch their food as it floats by.  It was kind of like watching synchronised swimming....

And last, but certainly not least, the shy guy of the aquarium.  Such a beauty, but so shy....

I can't wait till the next Aquarium visit!

The Williams Family

Peta, Sascha, Aly, Toby and Zoe came in for a family portrait session which was a Christmas gift from a family member.  Ordinarily I like to do groups this size outside, but Vancouver Winter and even Spring is not always conducive to that.
