Wendy & Andrew - August 17, 2007

I first met Wendy and Andrew the day before their wedding. All of our communication up until then had been by email or through wedding planner Kerry Reid, as they are based in the States. I was surprised to find myself surrounded by Kiwis as Andrew is from Hawkes Bay and 3 out of the 4 groomsmen were also from New Zealand. Some family and friends had also made the journey over for the wedding.

We started the day at Wendy's hotel room in White Rock. I love getting the detail shots at this point.

Their ceremony was at Morgan Creek Golf Course. Although rain had been forecast, the weather held and the ceremony took place in the gardens. Maori blessings and readings were incorporated into the ceremony which brought a tear to my eye.

Andrew's ring is truly awesome - it has the carvings of his tribe in the design. Very, very special.

We took some photos with the bridal party in the gardens.

Then we had some time at the pier in White Rock to get some shots of the happy couple before heading back to the party.

Canuck + Kiwi = happy

All the best, Wendy and Andrew!

Kristy & Christy - Auckland, NZ

This is a new feature I'm gonna add to the blog to enable people to see some of the things we've been up to. I had a little trouble getting the show up and running but with the help of DJ who is one of my favourite photographers and a REALLY helpful and open guy (thanks David!!!!!), we're off!

This show is a wedding I shot while back in New Zealand on holiday in February/March 2007. Christy and Kristy are Australians who eloped to NZ. They had a small intimate ceremony on Cheltenham Beach in Auckland and then we went atop of North Head to get some shots of the Auckland skyline.

Auckland is my hometown and I love the scenery here so much that I wanted to share it with you all.

Congrats girls - it was my pleasure to have met you!
