A couple of months ago we were going for a walk and I happened to look up and see an eagle flying by. Some of you may not find that odd, but it blew me away. Firstly, it was the first time I'd ever seen one in the open, and secondly, I live in the City.
Amongst the noise of traffic and trains, the smell of car fumes and industry, there he was - this thing of beauty, soaring high above the world. It was totally unexpected; one of life's pleasurable surprises and I was really glad I looked up!

Since then I have seen him a few times from my studio which is on the third floor. The other birds go wild and band together shouting at him and dive-bombing him. It's amazing to watch as the smaller birds grow strong in number as they try to drive him away.
This morning I heard them and grabbed a few shots.

Wow - I love nature!
